These machines are used by Hydel Power Stations WAPDA for the removal of a heavy “Trash” from the UP-Stream side of the river where water enters into the Turbine runners to keep them into rotatory motion at a constant R.P.M for the generation of electricity.The removal of “Trash” from the river bed is essentially continuous to sustain the electrical rotor R.P.M smooth and to the mark.

The trash rack cleaning machine has been designed specifically for this purpose by Haseeb Waqas Engineering Ltd.

The machine operates in a very moist areas where lever of moisture in the air reaches to 100% during summer months from May through September, the rivers are flooded with maximum accumulation of “Trash” at the Hydel.

Power Stations and this machine remains busy day and night during this period and is called “Trash Season”.

THE HASEEB WAQAS ENGINERRING LTD. CONMPLETED THIS MACHINE WITHIN ITS INTERNAL RESOURCES WITH EMPHASIS GIVEN ON THE BEST OF THE QUALITY CONTROL AND SPECIFICALLY STRUCTURE ANGLES WERE CALCULATED PRESCISELY TO MAINTAIN THE CENTER OF GRAVITY IN BALANCE.

THE MACHINE BASICALLY CONSISTS ON TWO MAIN PARTS, THE TROLLEY AND THE ENGINE ROOM. THE ENGINE ROOM IS MOUNTED ON TO THE TROLLEY. THE WHOLE SYSTEM BEING 33 TONS IN WEIGHT THEN MOVES ON THE RAIL TRACKS TO COVER THE RANGE OF CLEANING AREA.

THE MACHINE DESIGNED BY HWEL IS PLC OPERATED. THE OPERATOR HAS COMMAND HE CAN OPERATE EITHER IN “AUTO MODE” OR “SEMI-AUTO” MODE. THE TRASH IS REMOVED WITH THE HELP OF 4-TON RACK LOWERED INTO THE RIVER BOTTOM, THE RACK IS CLOSED COLLECTING THE TRASH AND A COMMAND IS GIVEN FOR THE “RACK “UPPER”. THE RACK COMES OUT OF THE RIVER WATER AND TRAVELLS UPWARDS WITH THE HELP OF STEEL ROPES OPERATED BY A STRONG DRUM WHICH IS MOUNTED WITH MACHANICAL AIR WHOSE OUTPUT TORQUE IS 23000 NEW METER NEWTON-METER, ABBREVIATED (NMTR)

THE RACK IS OPENED AND CLOSED WITH HYDRAULIC POWER WITH PROXIMITY SENSORS CONTROL THE MOVEMENT OF THE RACK TO ITS EXACT POSITION.

THERE ARE LOTS OF SAFETIES TO PROTECT THE SYSMEMS, SUCH AS LOAD-CELL, IN CASE THE TRASH OVER-WEIGHTS THE LOAD-CELL CONTROLLER ACTIVATES TRIPPING OFF THE HOIST MOTOR INSTATNLY.

THE POSITION OF THE RACK IS MONITORED ON THE DISPLAY “GOT”. THE OPERATOR CAN CHANGE PARAMETERS FROM “GOT” ACCORDING TO HIS NEEDS.
